As we approach International Human Rights Day 2023, we would like to remember, celebrate, and support the work of a friend, Dympna Meaney, a global solidarity activist who sadly died in an accident at 34 years old. Her friends instigated the Dympna Meaney Women’s Leadership Fund (DMF) in memory of her and her passion for equality and social justice.

At this time, many of us are floundering with our sense of powerlessness and disbelief at what is happening in so many parts of our world. Never before has there been a more urgent need for a different response to the many crises among humanity and our natural world.

The Dympna Meaney Fund invites you to join a short Courage and Renewal retreat on December 11th, 2023, from 14.30 – 17.00 GMT Irish time.

WARRIORS OF LOVE – The Courage to Work for a World We May Never See

At the Courage and Renewal retreat, we will explore what it means to be Warriors of Love and how turning to wonder can help open our hearts to this warrior love.  We will use the Circle of Trust© format, pioneered by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal. You will have time for personal reflection, as well as small and large group sharing using selected poems, music, and prose.

For further details and to register below. You can donate in support of the DMF here, or if you wish, donations can also be made through Eventbrite (see the button below).  We will cover any Eventbrite charges, so all monies collected will go directly to this worthy cause.

We hope many of you will be able to join us on December 11th. Please feel free to pass on this information to anyone you know who may be interested.
