As the International Year of Volunteering 2026 (IVY 2026) draws to a close, Comhlámh is delighted to invite you to an evening of celebration, reflection, and conversation.

Over the past year, people around the world have come together to recognise the role that volunteers play in building more just, connected, and resilient communities. IVY 2026 has highlighted the many ways that volunteering contributes to social change, strengthens democracy, responds to crises, and fosters solidarity across borders. At a time of profound global challenges, volunteers continue to be at the heart of collective responses. They support communities affected by conflict, displacement, climate impacts, and inequality, while also creating spaces for participation, dialogue, and civic engagement. Yet, the year has also reminded us that volunteering cannot be taken for granted.

Join us as we launch two resources that explore the contribution of volunteering to global justice, solidarity, and the creation of more equitable communities and societies.
