What does it mean to volunteer internationally in a way that supports global justice and solidarity?

Comhlámh recently hosted a lunchtime webinar introducing ‘Where do I Start?’, our free, self-guided online course for anyone interested in volunteering and being active for change.

The session offered an opportunity to explore the course, try out some of its modules and reflect on some of the bigger questions around international volunteering and global justice.

‘Where do I Start?’  invites participants to think critically about ideas of ‘development’, question the concept of ‘good intentions’, and explore how issues of global justice are interconnected. It is designed for anyone who is interested in volunteering, whether you’re just beginning to explore the possibilities or looking to deepen your understanding of solidarity and active citizenship.

If you missed the webinar, you can now watch the full recording and explore the course for yourself.

Whether you’re considering international volunteering for the first time or already involved in global justice work, ‘Where do I Start?’  offers a space to pause, reflect and think about how we can act for change in ways that are grounded in solidarity and learning.
