Supporting Returned Volunteers and Young Migrants to Work for Global Justice.
Funded by Erasmus+, the ‘International Citizens for Local Perspectives’ (IC4LOP) project aims to promote social inclusion and deepen young people’s engagement as active global citizens, by drawing on their experiences of living in other cultures. The project builds on Comhlámh’s previous work on building trainers’, facilitators’, organisations’ and individuals’ capacity to engage in solidarity work.

The project’s resources will particularly interest trainers, facilitators and educators that support groups and collective actions. Check them out below.
A TRAINING MANUAL FOR TRAINERS AND FACILITATORS
Engagement and Activism of Young People: How to Support & Develop Collective Actions
This manual aims to build and strengthen trainers’ and facilitators’ capacity to engage with young people, including international volunteers and those with refugee or migrant backgrounds. It supports them to plan and run collective actions on the global justice issues they are passionate about.
IC4LOP Project Recommendations
A set of recommendations was developed as part of the IC4LOP project for two main target groups: policy-makers and organisations.
We hope these recommendations will support organisations working with young people from different backgrounds to create collaborative responses to the issues we face at local, national and global levels.
The recommendations cover organisational policies and programming, partnership building and training, but most importantly, highlight the need for the voices and leadership of young people within organisations and externally within policy-making and direct political representation.
Project Partners
The ‘International Citizens for Local Perspectives’ (IC4LOP) was a two-year project involving four partner organisations from four European countries, including France Volontaires (France), Zavod Voluntariat (Slovenia); CESIE (Italy) and Comhlámh (Ireland).
