Comhlámh shortlisted for a Good Governance Award

We are delighted to be nominated for a Good Governance Award connected for our 2019 Annual Report.

Our strategic plan 2018-2021 laid out our values and one of these was Legitimacy: “At a time of great questioning of the legitimacy and credibility of not-for-profit organisations, we re-commit ourselves to the highest standards of governance, operating out of a culture of maximum transparency and openness..”

We’d like to thank the Carmichael Centre and its partners in hosting the Good Governance Awards, we have benefitted enormously from this over the last number of years. The process of engaging with the scheme is very straightforward and each year we have benefited from a wealth of feedback that we have used to live up to the value statement we set ourselves in 2017. Any cursory analysis of how we reported to our AGM a number of years ago to how we report now, will show the major steps forward we have achieved in sharpening up our practices as a board, management/staff team, and the wider association.

We look forward to the awards night on November 14th next.
