Thursday 23rd May 2019
Carmelite Community Centre, Whitefriar Street, Dublin
6pm – registration and refreshments (sandwiches and tea/coffee)
6.30pm-8.30pm – Meeting
Are you a returned development worker or volunteer who has spent time in the Global South? Are you interested in global justice issues, and in linking the local and the global dimensions of tackling poverty? Would you like to meet others who share your interest in working for a better world, whether it’s from Ireland or from the Global South?
If so, you’re very welcome to become a Comhlámh member (sign up here or join on the night) and take part in the Annual General Meeting of our association. You can learn more about our staff and member-led areas of work, hear about what we’ve achieved in the past year, and get involved in building momentum for the future.
This year’s AGM will use an interactive participatory approach called Human Library, which will give participants the opportunity to connect more deeply with staff, members and some of those we work with.
Comhlámh is a unique organisation, with over 40 years’ experience of member-driven activism and advocacy on global development issues – we invite you to be part of the next stages of our work.
We are also looking for new members to the board, in particular people with a background in marketing/fundraising. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
