In current times, the term ‘development’ is most often associated with ‘international development’ and the development of people, economies, governance systems, whole countries or regions. But what kind of ‘development’ is being promoted? Do we stop to think about this or is the path assumed? Whose ideas of progress are prevailing? Whose idea of ‘better’?
