Following a successful application, you will be invited to attend an assessment day in our offices in Dublin which involves individual interviews, teamwork and team dilemmas. Following successful completion of the assessment day, the logistics of planning a volunteer placement overseas will begin including the provision of in-depth training on working in low-income countries

No. Volunteers are supported to fundraise €1500 prior to departure

All expenses are covered from pre-departure to post service. Pre-departure expenses covered include: travel to pre-departure training and lodging and food during training sessions; flights and accommodation on arrival overseas. In-service benefits include: monthly allowance based on local cost of living; travel for VSO business; language learning allowance; accommodation; mid-service holiday payment. Post-service benefits include flights home
