Mission Statement
Lámha Suas is an Irish based organisation dedicated to supporting education in the Mubende district of Uganda. We work closely with the Ugandan Ministry of Education to provide support to a number of government schools in the Mubende district of Uganda. Support is provided by sending qualified Irish teachers to work alongside Ugandan teachers on short-term volunteering placements; funding long-term programmes such as school feeding, improvement of school infrastructure and a teacher scholarship fund. We also support the wider community by recruiting nurses to work in the local health clinics on short-term volunteering placements and also supplying medical equipment.
