REGULAR COURSES
Comhlámh prepares Global Citizenship Education training for Volunteer Sending Agencies Code signatories on an annual basis. Themes for the training are based on their needs and/or interests and are organised by the Code network’s Volunteering and Development Education Working Group. The format for Global Citizenship Education training varies from year to year. It can take the form of a residential weekend or a series of sessions, and generally takes place in the Spring or Autumn time.

ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT FOR VOLUNTEER SENDING AGENCIES
Comhlámh is always happy to exchange around the topic of Global Citizenship Education and volunteering. If you would like help preparing education curriculum for your volunteer training days, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Maybe you would like some fresh ideas for workshops or access to new resources? Maybe you simply want to take some inspiration from what others within the Comhlámh network are trying out?

TRAINING MANUALS
With partners from across Europe, we’ve created training manuals for facilitators who are nurturing people’s engagement in action for global solidarity and justice. The following resources were developed as part of Erasmus+ projects and are available in a number of languages.
Our current manuals include:
- International Citizens for Local Perspectives (IC4LOP) manual is a resource that upskills facilitators to work with young migrants and returned volunteers on the development of action projects with a global justice focus. Learn more about the participative aims and approaches of the training in this video.
- Volunteering for the Future: A training manual and companion resource for facilitators who are supporting international volunteers and development workers to continue their global solidarity work on their return home.
- ‘Working for the Better World’: Psychosocial Resources for Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Responders explore ways of sustaining civic responses to the reception and integration of migrants in the EU, through psychosocial supports for migrant solidarity responders.
EXTENDED IN-PERSON COURSES
Comhlámh enjoys creative partnerships with organisations and institutions across the island of Ireland. We are currently partnering with UCD Volunteers Overseas (UCDVO), based in the University College Dublin (UCD) on a number of regular, extended course offerings which you can read more about by clicking below:
