Comhlamh’s Call for Accountability: Supporting South Africa’s Genocide Case Against the Israeli Government

As an organisation focused on solidarity and rights-based engagement, Comhlamh’s Staff and Board support South Africa’s genocide case against the Israeli Government at the International Court of Justice.

We call on the Irish Government and the EU to uphold their responsibilities under the 1948 Genocide Convention, including the obligation to prevent genocide. We call on all Global North governments to follow the lead of South Africa in referring Israel’s Government to the International Court of Justice. There must be accountability for the actions of the Israeli Government and their disregard for human rights and international law.

Comhlámh sees our humanity as bound with all people across the world.  We are driven by a deep love and compassion for humanity in all our actions to pursue change.

To the people of Palestine, our humanity is bound with you, and we stand in solidarity with you.

Ceasefire now!

Not in our name!
