Next Wednesday, September 4th, we’re hosting our third Social Circle of the year, and we’d love to see you there! This time we will meet at 6:30pm, Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square W, Rotunda, Dublin 1, D01 T6V6.

We want to use this get-together to screen Jamie Goldrick’s short film ‘Gaza Freedom Flotilla: When Governments Fail, We Sail’, released only a few days ago. Like so many around us, we in Comhlámh feel the heaviness of the last ten months and believe that strengthening our community of solidarity is of core importance. We must continuously show up for each other.

This relates to relationships we built globally and locally. Our friends at  MASI—the Movement of Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Ireland, are celebrating their 10th anniversary this autumn and are organizing a conference on the 19th of October. Make sure to add that date to your diary. Volunteers and funds are still needed for it. We will take collections on the day and can put you in touch with the organisers. If you can’t attend but would like to contribute you can donate to MASI here.

We hope to see you there. New and old friends of Comhlámh are all welcome. The bar will be open, and we will be there from 6.30pm until late. Drop by anytime!

In 2024, Comhlámh’s Social Circles take place on the following days:

  • Thursday, 7 March
  • Wednesday, 29 May
  • Wednesday, 4 September
  • Wednesday, 4 December

For any questions, email julia@comhlamh.org.
We hope to see you there!
