Donate

Comhlamh appreciates and welcomes all donations, of whatever amount. Donations enable us to advance our work still further and they help us to achieve our mission of challenging society on the root causes of global poverty and inequality and empower people to demand equity in global relations.

How donations work

If you are a tax payer on the PAYE system and you make a personal donation of €250 or more to Comhlamh during the course of a single tax year, Comhlamh will be able to reclaim the tax you have paid through your donations.

If you are self employed or a corporate entity, it is possible for you to reclaim the tax you have paid on all your donations to Comhlamh during a tax year. You or your company can decide to make a donation out of the money that you reclaim from the Revenue Commissioners.

Your donation is worth even more to Comhlamh!

Comhlamh can reclaim an extra 25% of the value of your donations if you are a standard rate tax payer of 20%. For example, if you have given €250 over the course of a year, this will be worth an extra €63 to Comhlamh.

€250 total donation at 20% Standard Rate Tax:

€250 x 100/80 = €312.50

€312.50 - €250 = €63

Comhlamh can reclaim an extra 72% of the value of your donations if you are a higher rate taxpayer of 42%. For example, if you have given €250 over the course of a year, this is worth an extra €181 to Comhlamh.

€250 total donation at 42% Higher Rate Tax:

€250 x 100/58 = €431.03

€431.03 - €250 = €181.03

Getting your tax relief form is simple: we send it to you!
